This course aims to equip learners with the essential understanding and knowledge needed to effectively recognize, prevent, and respond to harassment and bullying.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  1. Define violence, harassment, bullying, sexual harassment, sexual assault, and cyberbullying.
  2. Identify the signs and effects on victims, perpetrators, bystanders, and the shipboard team.
  3. Describe how power, stress, fatigue, discrimination, and substance use can lead to harm.
  4. Understand how to prevent, report, and respond to violence and harassment on board.
  5. Comprehend how to support others using trauma-informed principles.
