Description

The Inventory of Hazardous Materials (IHM) Awareness online training provides a
basic understanding of IHM, an essential tool required for all ships and offshore installations
engaged in international voyages. Its purpose is to promote safety and environmental protection
by identifying and quantifying hazardous materials onboard, such as asbestos, ozone-depleting
substances, lead-based paint, and PCBs.

Developing an IHM involves intensive surveying by experts to ensure compliance with regulations.

at the time of disposal or recycling of a ship or platform.
